The long wait is over, last Nov. 6, 2009 at around 8:10 in the evening I gave birth to a 6.5 lbs healthy baby girl through spontaneous vaginal delivery.

It took 48hours of continuous contraction and bleeding. I was admitted in Makati Medical Center at around 7:00 AM of Nov. 6, 2009. Prior to that, my husband brought me a day before, but that time I was 1cm dilated only.

I can't handle the pain anymore, they gave me an epidural around 12:00PM of November 6, then they had to rapture my bag of water. Around 7:45 in the evening I was 9-10cm dilated. They brought me inside the delivery room and for a span of ten minutes I gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

All through out the day of pain and joy, I'm all alone. My husband and relatives were waiting outside and were not allowed to come inside the delivery room, if ever they have to pay an extra. They transferred me to my room around 12 midnight, followed by rooming in of my baby.

I was irritated that time because the effect of anesthesia was gone while the mefenamic acid was not working. The pain and discomfort really sucks, I can't pee, I can't poop and I can't walk. But my little girl took away the pain.

Now she's one week old, and I'm a one week newborn mommy! ;D

I'm lucky to have Jake beside me during this time of waiting. He's a busy guy, he usually stay here over the weekend only. I don't know if we can survive with this kind of set up in the long run but it just a matter of sacrifice and trust. It is better than to work abroad and be miles away from your love ones right?

It's been 9 months of pregnancy, now I'm patiently waiting for Andy to see the world. I'm praying for a healthy and normal baby girl, and an easy child birth too.

Honestly, I'm scared and clueless. I don't know how does it feel to deliver a baby, good thing I'm gaining my strength through prayers and wonderful support of my husband, family and friends. They are all excited to see our baby girl.

Now all I can do is to sit, relax, do some walking, save my energy, pray and be happy. ;D
